Your home is equipped with an amazing fireplace but you have no fireplace tools. You must fix this and the options available to you may well overwhelm when you begin to shop for them. They are available in sets and individually and there are thousands of color and style options available to you. The reason for so many options is that these tools are more than just functional; they can be decorative as well, no matter what type of fireplace is being utilized.

The common fireplace tools that fall under functional and decorative alike are the brush, poker, shovel, tongs and a tool stand to hold them all. Bellows, which are used to aid air to the fire, are usually sold as a separate entity. The styles and materials these are made from will vary which can affect the look of the fireplace a great deal.

Wrought iron tools add beauty and can achieve a more complete look if coupled with a screen of the same type. Then there are those that are hand worked out of iron. These are often embedded with amazingly beautiful designs to add additional beauty.

Fireplace tools are also available in an iron, brass combination. The handles are made from brass and the rest is iron, which combines two popular aspects of the tools into one assembly. No matter which one you choose, it will depend on personal taste and the budget at hand.

When choosing fireplace tools, it is important to keep the surroundings of the fireplace and whether or not they are meant to be functional or merely beautiful in mind.
